TRI-STAR
The Springboro Optimist Club is proud to sponsor annual Tri-Star Sports competitions for boys and girls, age 7-12. There is no fee to participate and pre-registration is not required. Participants do not need to be associated with specific youth athletic programs, but must meet the age requirements to participate. A parent (or authorized adult) must accompany the participants to sign a release giving permission for the child to participate and a photo release for the Optimist Club to use event photographs for promotional purposes. The boys Tri-Star basketball dribble, pass, and shoot competition is held in June in conjunction with the Springboro boys basketball program summer camp. There is no fee to participate and participants do not have to attend the summer camp to participate in the Tri-Star competition.
The girls Tri-Star basketball dribble, pass, and shoot competition is held in June in conjunction with the Springboro lady panthers basketball summer camp. There is no fee to participate in the competition and participants do not have to attend the summer camp to participate in the Tri-Star competition.
The Tri-Star football punt, pass, and kick competition is held in conjunction with the wee panthers football program on their annual kickoff weekend in August. This competition is held for boys and girls entering grades 1 through 6. There is no fee to participate and participants do not have to be associated with wee panthers football.
