FUNDRAISERS
Avenue of Flags . . .
Our Avenue of Flags program begins on Memorial Day, when we install more than 600 three-by-five foot flags on 10-foot poles in front of homes and businesses in our community. We need your support for this wonderful program. A $50 fee per year is all it costs to have a flag placed on your property during all five flag holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and Veterans Day. Complete the Avenue of Flags enrollment form and mail it with your check to the address listed on the form. Our Avenue of Flags Team will then complete the installation. All proceeds benefit children in our community.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand . . .
The Springboro Optimists raise money to help support a local family, the Marshalls, affected by childhood cancer. The Marshalls have chosen Alex’s Lemonade Stand due to their commitment to fund critically needed research to find better treatments and cures for children with cancer. Alex’s Lemonade Stand has raised more than $200 million since 2000 to fund nearly 1,000 childhood cancer research projects at 135 institutions.
In 2018, an estimated 15,590 children were diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. A diagnosis turns the lives of the entire family upside down. The objective of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (September) is to put a spotlight on the types of cancer that largely affect children, survivorship issues, and to help raise funds for research and family support.
